Minneapolis Central Library ππ
Whenever we visit a city in the US, we always make time to explore the local public library. ππ The beautiful modern public library in Minneapolis is probably the most heavily secured library I've ever seen. The section for teens and children is separated with its own security gate, front desk, and restrooms (which require staff to unlock). Security personnel patrol the area more frequently. The only other library I've been to with a similar setup is the Rhode Island State Library, but even that one didn't have as many security staff. ππ Maybe because of the cold winters, Minneapolis has fewer homeless people compared to many other cities. However, the security measures here are still very tight. It's common to see police cars parked nearby, and even the hotel security seems to be armed (I'm not sure if it's real or not). ππ This is probably why Minnesota consistently ranks in the top ten safest states in the US. Also, the Chinese book section on the fourth floor is pretty well - stocked! π ππ #Minnesota #Minneapolis π
