Minneapolis City Walk Route

Having lived in Minneapolis for almost three weeks, Iโ€™ve put together a quick must-visit route: Prince Mural ๐ŸŽจ โ€“ Painted by local artist Peyton Scott Russell, this mural pays tribute to the legendary musician Prince, who was born and raised here. Across the street is First Avenue, where Prince recorded music, and its iconic wall features stars of many artists who also recorded there. Nearby is the famous Target Field. โšพ Bob Dylan Mural ๐ŸŽธ โ€“ Just a 5-minute walk north, youโ€™ll find a mural honoring Bob Dylan, the folk-rock icon and Nobel Prize winner born in Minnesota in 1941. Minneapolis Central Library ๐Ÿ“š โ€“ Another 5-minute walk north takes you to the beautiful central library. More details in my blog! Mill City Museum / Guthrie Theater / Gold Medal Park / Stone Arch Bridge ๐ŸŒ‰ โ€“ Head east on Washington Ave S toward the Mississippi River. These spots are perfect for history, culture, and views. Allow 2-3 hours. Check my blog for opening times! US Bank Stadium ๐Ÿˆ โ€“ After exploring the riverfront, walk south to this impressive stadium, home to the Minnesota Vikings (NFL) and the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers baseball team. Foshay Museum & Observation Deck ๐Ÿ™๏ธ โ€“ Continue toward downtown to see this historic skyscraper, once the tallest building in the city and a landmark of the Northwest. Target Store ๐Ÿ›’ โ€“ Just a few minutes from the Foshay Tower, visit the flagship Target store at the companyโ€™s headquarters. Minnesota Orchestra Hall ๐ŸŽป โ€“ Two blocks south from Target, youโ€™ll find one of the top ten symphony orchestras in the U.S. Tickets are available online or at the box office. Other must-visit spots (check my blog for more!): Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA) ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Mall of America (MOA) ๐Ÿ›๏ธ University of Minnesota / Weisman Art Museum ๐ŸŽจ Sculpture Garden / Walker Art Center ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Minnesota Science Museum ๐Ÿ”ฌ Cathedral of Saint Paul โ›ช Minnesota State Capitol ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Como Park Zoo ๐Ÿฆ Mississippi River Summer Water Ballet ๐Ÿ’ƒ #Travel #Minnesota #Minneapolis #CityWalk #USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโœจ
