Minnie's delicious and beautiful meal! A restaurant suitable for dates

🍽️ Joan’s In the Park Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Review: Absolutely incredibly delicious! This is my favorite restaurant in Minneapolis. Their four-course tasting menu may look small in portion, but it’s perfectly filling. The only downside is that the wine glasses sometimes have a slight off smell. Ambiance Rating: It’s an older establishment with a simple setting, but the chef puts great care into the experience. If you note a special occasion, they will decorate the table and even take a photo, print it, and give it to you. Recommended Dishes: The bread selections may look ordinary but are surprisingly divine! Highly recommend the cheese bread and onion knot—great texture and not greasy. Beef Steak Tartare: Excellently minced beef with a clear granular texture, lightly and cleanly seasoned without any gaminess. Served with crispy chips for a delightful contrast—the standout dish of the meal. Spaghetti: The highlight is the smooth uni (sea urchin) butter balanced with tomato acidity. The squid ink is aromatic and not fishy, while the shrimp plays a subtle supporting role. Masa Corn Dumplings (Vegetarian): Light and not greasy, topped with a few drops of chili oil and corn kernels. The fish dishes are also good, but the daily offerings vary. 🍽️ Mara Restaurant and Bar Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Review: Primarily praised for its ambiance—beautifully presented dishes that are also decent in taste. Noted a special occasion, and they offered us a complimentary taste of a new dish. The pasta portion (small size) is quite limited. Ambiance Rating: Located inside the Four Seasons Hotel, the decor is lovely and not too crowded. Valet parking is available for around $10+. Recommended Dishes: Garganelli: Topped with breadcrumbs that add a pleasant granular texture, making each bite rich in layers and aroma. Hummus (Vegetarian): Smooth and creamy, served with notably good pita bread. Nothing else stood out strongly. 🍽️ Nicollet Island Inn Restaurant Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Review: The ambiance is perfect for dates—great atmosphere, and the food is decent, leaning toward classic American style. Ambiance Rating: Nestled on an island, it’s very quiet inside. The interior features elegant, old-money decor, and almost every seat is by the window. Free parking is available. Recommended Dishes: Surf & Turf: A perfect blend of land and sea flavors. The filet mignon is exceptionally tender and juicy. The lobster tail is slightly less impressive but pairs well with the rich red wine sauce and creamy mashed potatoes, creating a flavorful and layered dish—still highly recommended. Vegetarian options are very limited and not particularly accommodating. #RestaurantRecommendations #InternationalStudentEats #FoodieAdventures #DateNightSpots #Minnesota #UniversityOfMinnesota #UMN #Minneapolis #Minnesota
