šø Mirate ¹ā“ļ½LAās Go-To Spot for Mexican Flavors & Strong Drinks! š²š½
šµš« Got so tipsy I forgot the names of several dishes⦠LOL it was honestly hilarious! š The only downside: itās super loudāeverywhere, all the time. š Reservations are a must! Otherwise, you might have to share a table if you walk in. š° We spent around 150 per person (ordered plenty of drinks), but normally itās about 50ā100. š æļø Bring cash for parkingā15. Card payments cost 17. šø If youāre just here for drinks, thereās seating upstairs too! š The menu changes daily and can be tricky to readāI always ask the staff to explain whatās what. They also have many vegan options, so donāt be fooled by the names! ā ļø Stay safe! If you drove here, donāt overdo it with the drinks. š® Now for the food: ⢠Nopal Y PiƱa Asada: Smelled like chili oil! Combines cactus, pineapple, and cilantroāsurprisingly delicious. The cactus has a slight bitterness, but I didnāt mind. Skip if you dislike bitter notes. ⢠Guess it was Gringa Al Pastor: Made with Ahi tuna, topped with sauce and pineapple chunksāso satisfying! š ⢠Another fish taco: Branzino, really tasty! Good for sharingā2ā3 per person max, since it can get rich. ⢠Pork taco ⢠Black bean fried rice noodles with burrata š Address: 1712 N Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027 Thatās all for now! Wishing everyone a happy and fun meal! š„° Have you been to Mirate? Whatās your favorite Mexican-inspired dish or cocktail in LA?
