It is famous for its ancient villages composed of thatched houses, most of which were built during the Edo and Meiji periods, giving it a unique local charm. The winter snowfall brings a seasonal limited popular activity - the Snow Lantern Corridor. Snow Lantern Corridor 🔸 Around the thatched houses and along the roads, beautiful lanterns are decorated.
