Moments in Nature!
🥳We arrived at Lettuce Lake Park at 10 a.m. on Sunday, and there were still plenty of parking spaces available. The entrance fee of $2 per vehicle is very reasonable, and the ticket office even provided a wetland bird guide. 📷After walking along the boardwalk for about ten minutes, we spotted an alligator on the lake surface. 🌷It was lying motionless on a floating log, about fifteen meters away from the boardwalk. A park ranger reminded us to keep a safe distance and pointed out a white egret nest in the trees. ✅Parts of the boardwalk are under repair due to hurricane damage, but the open sections are sufficient for about an hour of leisurely walking. 🍃The newly built observation deck offers a great view of the entire marshland. It’s recommended to bring binoculars for a clearer look at the waterbirds. #LettuceLakePark #WetlandEcology #WildlifeObservation
