Monterey｜Ultimate Sea Otter Watching Adventure 🦦

✅Our Saturday morning kayak trip rewarded us with sightings of 6.5 adorable sea otters (yes, we counted a napping half-otter!) – infinitely more magical than any aquarium visit. ✅The highlight? Spotting a mother and baby otter pair – pure serotonin boost! 💌We booked through a rental shop right on Cannery Row (advance online reservation recommended). The package included: Life jackets, Dry bag, Kayak & paddles, Full splash gear (jacket + pants) 💌Wildlife encounters: 🦭 Sea lions – Playfully curious, they pop up unexpectedly (especially near piers/beaches). We saw groups team-fishing! 🐋 Harbor seals – Camouflaged in kelp beds, they peer at you before vanishing silently. 🦦 Sea otters – Floating grooming sessions in kelp-rich zones! While generally non-aggressive, maintain safe distances. 🌊 Duration: Booked for 2 hours, but staff was flexible.
