Montreal | Completely Obsessed with This Spanish Seafood Paella 🥘

Saturday’s happy dine-out adventure—finally tried Tapeo, a Spanish restaurant my foreign coworkers have been raving about forever! They specialize in fresh Spanish seafood tapas, but we came for one thing: that massive pan of seafood paella… and it did NOT disappoint. Absolutely chef’s kiss—I’m officially hooked! 🦐 𝑃𝑎𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑎 𝑎 𝑙𝑎 𝑇𝑎𝑝𝑒𝑜 Their signature seafood paella (for two, $70) is served in a huge iron skillet, packed with insane amounts of seafood—at least 10 colossal tiger prawns, plus scallops, mussels, squid, Spanish chorizo, and more. The rice is perfectly soaked in rich, savory broth—hands down the best paella in Montreal! 🐙 𝑂𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑝𝑢𝑠 𝑆𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑑 A must-order appetizer! Tender octopus paired with silky pumpkin purée and charred veggies—explosive flavors and gorgeous plating. Every table seems to have this! 🥙 𝐵𝑒𝑒𝑓 𝑇𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑒 The beef tartare is divine—ultra-fresh beef with crispy fried potato strings and a creamy, savory sauce. Perfect with wine! We also tried the lamb skewers (decent, but tasted more Middle Eastern than Spanish). The meat was tender, but with so many stellar seafood options, this one’s skippable. 📌 Tips: Weekends are PACKED—I booked 4-5 days ahead. They open at 5pm, and by 6pm, it’s full. RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST! Portions are huge—come hungry! 📍 Tapeo 511 Rue Villeray, Montreal 💸 ~$70 per person ⏰ Dinner: 5pm–11pm #WeekendFoodAdventure #FoodieDiaries #HiddenGemEats #CanadianLife #MontrealEats #CarbsAreLife #SeafoodHeaven #PaellaLover #DinnerGoals #LivingAbroad
