Montreal-Gaspé——Food Chapter Three

Picking up from where the food journey left off, this day was all about heading back. What’s more, we happened to catch Quebec’s National Holiday, and many restaurants were closed—talk about bad timing! 😅 Thankfully, we stumbled upon Les Flots Gourmands, a tiny casual eatery with a perfect 5.0 rating, located just a bit past Cap-Chat. Their menu mainly features wraps, sandwiches, and poutine, but since we were still on the Gaspé Peninsula, there was no way we’d skip the seafood! 🦐 First up, we ordered the Guédille crevettes (sweet shrimp wrap). Fresh sweet shrimp paired with seaweed—what a combo! The shrimp’s natural sweetness blended beautifully with the subtle brininess of the seaweed, while the bread was soft yet had a slight crunch on the edges. Every bite was a satisfying mix of textures and flavors—definitely a winner! 🥪 Then there was the Guédille homard (lobster wrap). Plump, sweet lobster meat was tossed with crispy, fried onion-like bits, adding a lovely crunch that made the texture so much more interesting. Honestly, it tasted even better than the lobster wrap we’d had in Percé—though the price tag was quite a bit steeper. 💸 All in all, finding this little spot on a day when most places were shut felt like a lucky break. It might not have been a fancy restaurant, but the fresh seafood and simple, well-executed dishes hit the spot perfectly during our drive back. 🌟 #MontrealRoadTrip #FoodAdventures
