Memoirs of Stays - Tucked away in the quintessential California beach town of Oceanside, the boutique hotel Mission Pacific masterfully blends the local surf culture, diverse arts scene, and laid-back coastal vibe. 🏄‍♂️ It’s the perfect spot to unwind while immersing yourself in the captivating Southern California lifestyle. As a Globalist member, I was upgraded to an Ocean Front Sanctuary Studio, offering direct beach views! 🌊 The room is modern and minimalist, with warm tones and natural textures like fabric, wood, and rattan that create a cozy "home-by-the-sea" atmosphere. 🏖️ The amenities are from L.A.-based fragrance brand Apothia, beautifully capturing the scents of Cali in every stay. The studio also includes a soaking tub and a private balcony, adding to that breezy, relaxed coastal feel—just a heads-up, the tub is available in studio suites and above! Breakfast is served at Piper, the Californian-inspired restaurant located in the sister hotel next door, The Seabird. 🍳 The à la carte menu truly lives up to the Hyatt standard. Speaking of The Seabird—it’s part of Hyatt’s Destination brand, and though just across the street, guests at either property can access facilities at both! 📚 The Seabird features a lovely library space, making it fun to explore two unique hotels in one stay. Mission Pacific also boasts its own fantastic dining options, including the Michelin-recognized Valle, a rooftop bar, and a cozy café. ☕ During my visit, I tried High/Low Cafe—their fresh, light dishes paired perfectly with the ocean breeze. You can even order the famous High‑Pie from the neighboring Top Gun House directly here—so tasty and great value! 🥧 The hotel sits right next to the vibrant Oceanside Pier, offering stunning, unobstructed ocean views. 🌅 The town of Oceanside itself is well-equipped for travelers, with the train station within walking distance.
