Day 2 of our cruise brought us to Genoa—but our hearts were set on Portofino! Despite gloomy weather, this tiny jewel of a town stole the show: pastel boats bobbing in the harbor, candy-colored houses, and VIP serenity. 🚢 How We Got There 1️⃣ Genoa Cruise Port → Genova Piazza Principe Station (8-min walk). 2️⃣ Train to Santa Margherita Ligure (buy tickets via Trenìt! app or at station—don’t forget to validate!). Our train was 1hr late—plan buffer time! 3️⃣ From Santa Margherita: Walk 10 mins to the ferry ticket booth (buy round-trip!). Hop on the boat to Portofino ⛴️. ⏳ Portofino Express Tour Castello Brown (entry fee): Rushed up narrow stairs for epic harbor views.
