MSC Mediterranean Cruise|First Taste of Italy 🇮🇹
Our cruise’s second stop brought us to Italy—a country I knew nothing about except its handsome football teams (World Cup & Champions League, anyone? 😉). Genoa, our port of call, was completely new to me too! Originally, we planned a casual family stroll ashore, but the windy port scared my in-laws and little Mili back to the ship (too cold!). So, it became a husband-and-wife City Walk instead! —— Our Relaxed Itinerary: 🚶 Piazza De Ferrari → 🏡 Cinque Terre (yes, a bit ambitious!) → 🍜 Failed Chinese food mission → 🌊 Port Viewpoint Not quite a "guide," but some tips if you’re on the same route: 1️⃣ From the port, keep walking along the right side (no need to cross the road)—you’ll spot the scenic elevator sooner! (We took a wrong turn but saw it on the way back—happy accident!) 2️⃣ Bus tickets (€2 for 110 mins) activate immediately upon purchase—don’t buy too early! Wait until the bus arrives. 3️⃣ Craving Chinese food? Either reserve ahead or go early. Many close kitchens by 1:00 PM (even if signs say 3:00 PM). We settled for mediocre Japanese—not recommended. 😅 4️⃣ Genoa’s historic buildings are everywhere! A little research beforehand makes the stroll 10x more interesting. —— PS: We’re home now, but I’ll keep sharing our cruise adventures—maybe someone will find it helpful! After all, I wished for more firsthand tips when planning too. 📝 #CruiseLife #Italy #Genoa #MSCCruise #MediterraneanCruise 🚢🌊✨
