The Heart and soul of Genoa Aligned with a few great restaurants Rosmarino To name one The art gallery can often have a display showing as can the Opera house, all not far from the fountain , this is a nice area to visit for the short term visitor after walking through the older part of town along(via st philosophy )via al Ponti Calvi from the port area Plenty of ways to get here, but it’s not far from the visiting Cruise liners also a few good eateries in side streets to the left , Keep heading south after getting about 150 off the main drag. Going back through the Gallery courtyard you will find the shortcut back to the port area via a few more restaurants But if you have longer there is lots to see in Genoa

The Piazza De Ferrari was a very pleasant surprise for us when we visited Genova. This is a nice, large, open section of the central city set aside as a gathering place, a break from the enclosed city and a place of beauty. Having good piazzas in the city adds enormous value, so thank you to the visionaries who made it happen. The main feature of the piazza is an enormous fountain. This is a nice focal point. The geometry and symmetry combined with the scale make it a thing of beauty. The buildings around the piazza are all very nice and architecturally interesting. These buildings house many of the primary economic institutes in town. When in Genova, be sure to see the Piazza De Ferrari.

beautiful place. lot of people from different countries. old buildings. Piazza De Ferrari is the main square of Genoa. Situated in the heart of the city between the historical and the modern center, Piazza De Ferrari is renowned for its fountain, which was restored in recent years along with a major restyling of the square. Today next to Piazza De Ferrari are numerous office buildings, headquarters of banks, insurances and other private companies, making of this district the financial and business centre of Genoa, so that Genoeses popularly refer to it as the "City" of Genoa.

Piazza De Ferrari is the main square of Genoa, and the commercial, financial and economic hub of the city. Beautiful fountain in the Center surrounded by old buildings. Lovely place to take pictures or sit around along the fountain and people watch. The square is dedicated to Raffaele De Ferrari, Duke of Galliera, politician and banker. With an irregular shape, due to successive urban interventions, which led to the unification of two adjoining areas, the square is part of the ancient sestiere (district) of Portoria, and occupies an area of about 11,000 square meters.
