Must-Try Michelin ⭐️ / Omakase Spots in LA

Ranked purely by personal taste: 1️⃣ n/naka ⭐️⭐️ Flavor, ambiance, service — my absolute #1. Every plate is a floral masterpiece 🌸💐 — the chef knows exactly what appeals. Desserts were a triple delight: citrus jelly sorbet, strawberry cake sorbet, and mochi crepe with freshly grated matcha 🍊🍓🍵. 📍 3455 Overland Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90034 2️⃣ Yume no Ya (Dream House) A hidden omakase counter with only 6 seats — intimate and exclusive. Lots of auction-grade ingredients. We added extra crab 🦀 — highly recommended if available! 3️⃣ Shunji ⭐️ The shirako (milt) was incredible. Chef Shunji is warm and charming — even celebrated my birthday with us! Got a little tipsy and goofed around with friends while the staff smiled fondly 😇 Best vibes, hands down. Book the main counter! 📍 3003 Ocean Park Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90405 4️⃣ Melisse ⭐️⭐️ French fusion in an intimate private dining room (only 5 tables). Most ritualistic experience — but also the most tiring. Truffle courses were rich, wine pairing was unique, but by the end I was exhausted 🙊 📍 1104 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90401 5️⃣ Ginza ⭐️⭐️ → ⭐️ Two matcha desserts were lovely 🍵😋 and the chawanmushi was decent. But nothing else stood out in memory. Heard they dropped from 2 to 1 star — and now I see why. 📍 609 N La Cienega Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069 6️⃣ 715 ⭐️ Solid but not memorable. Watching the chef work was mesmerizing though — quiet and seriously handsome 😉 If you’re late, the door locks — remember to knock! Brought our own Nirvana Turtle 10th Anniversary sake — super sweet and delicious. 📍 738 E 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90013 #Omakase #RestaurantRecommendations #JapaneseCuisine #FoodAndAesthetics
