Wirtshaus Taube Luzern This is actually a must-visit restaurant in Lucerne for traditional Swiss dishes. Itâs conveniently located near the Water Tower Bridge and Lucerne Train Station. The entrance is shown in photo 2, and itâs easy to find with navigation. We ordered the signature đ lamb stew with turnips (the lamb had no gamey flavor at all!! Two people who canât stand gamey lamb can vouch for this), German đ©đȘ sausage with sauerkraut, and a main course of cheese and bacon with potatoes. Each dish comes in a large portion. Two people sharing three dishes will definitely be stuffed. The interior of the restaurant is very cozy, and I think the service is excellent. There was a very chatty and interesting waitress who even refilled our hot water for free, haha. I highly recommend making a reservation by phone đČ in advance, as many locals dine here. Itâs always fully booked at lunchtime on weekdays.
