Must-Visit Old Market Hall in Finland for Solo Dining
I gotta post these pics before they go out of style... 📸 Ate here two days in a row and still couldn’t get enough 😂❤️ Solo travelers, head straight to Old Market Hall (Kauppatori) near the central port of Helsinki 🏃♀️📍 Easy to reach, fairly priced! Must-try Nordic specialties: 1️⃣ Creamy salmon soup — generous chunks of fish, no weird smell 🐟🍲✨ Warms you up perfectly on a chilly day! 2️⃣ Open sandwiches — loaded with fresh seafood. The sweet shrimp one is highly recommended! 🍤 Salmon and whitefish are also delicious 😋 Tried all flavors over two days hehe 🥪💫 Pro tip: Ask for extra dill sauce! 🌿 3️⃣ Don't miss: Freshly fried vendace (muikku) - the Finnish version of fish & chips 🐟🍋 Squeeze lemon on top for extra freshness! Only downside: the rye bread is a bit too sour/bitter for my taste… Tastes… too healthy 😅🍞 (But hey, that's how locals love it!) They also offer game meats like reindeer and bear 🦌🐻 Tried a game platter — the gaminess was pretty strong 💥 Not for the faint of nose 👃… I almost felt sick halfway through 🥴 (Adventurous eaters only!) ✨Bonus: The market has free WiFi and friendly vendors who love sharing food stories! 💬 Also great for picking up edible souvenirs like smoked fish and berry jams 🎁 #Foodie #MarketVibes #SoloEating #GlobalFoodies #AuthenticTravelEats #VisitFinland #FinnishFood #HelsinkiEats #NordicFood #TravelTips #SoloTravel #FoodMarke
