๐Ÿ Must-Visit Reservation-Only Attractions in Kyoto, Japan๐Ÿ

๐Ÿ Rurikouin This place only opens twice a year for its breathtaking views. For autumn foliage in Kyoto, Rurikouin is a must-visit. Since the Heian period, the area of "Yase" where Rurikouin is located has been one of the favorite retreats for the imperial family and samurai. The multi-layered red leaves change amidst light and shadow, presenting a color akin to lapis lazuli. ๐Ÿ‚ ๐Ÿ Saifuku-ji The "coldest" temple in Kyoto, founded in the Nara period, it is one of Japan's oldest gardens. With over a hundred varieties of moss that look like a green carpet, it's also known as the "Moss Temple." Although autumn is not the best season for moss viewing, the red leaves that reside in the garden like guest players match well with Saifuku-ji. ๐ŸŒฟ ๐Ÿ Arashiyama Yuusai-tei An exquisite and lesser-known Japanese garden with a history of 150 years. Small but exquisite, it is currently the workshop of dye artist Okuda Yuusai, rivaling Rurikouin as a secret spot for maple viewing. Each room offers a view of the seasons' colors, enhanced by the reflection on the tabletop, creating a picturesque scene perfect for capturing the moment in photos. It is said that Yasunari Kawabata composed here. ๐Ÿก ๐Ÿ Sanzen-in Known as the "Jewel Box of the Orient," Sanzen-in is famous as an energy spot. The pond in the Juubou-in garden, combined with the autumn red leaves, forms an exceptionally beautiful view. At the end of the main hall, there is a red carpet on the tatami mats where tea and snacks are served, allowing you to rest after strolling through the garden. Time here flows leisurely. ๐Ÿต ๐Ÿ Arashiyama Small Train The small train traverses the Hozu River Gorge, offering a panoramic view of Arashiyama's most beautiful scenery! There are four stations (Kameoka - Hozukyo - Arashiyama - Saga) and five carriages (1-4 are regular carriages, and carriage 5 is an open-air observation carriage with no windows for easy photography). It's recommended to buy a ticket for carriage 5 to fully enjoy the beautiful scenery! ๐Ÿš‚ #AskMeAnything #Kyoto #KyotoAttractions #KyotoMustPlayGuide #KyotoRurikouin #ArashiyamaTrain #KyotoSanzenin #KansaiTravel #AttractionReservations #KyotoTemples
