My Favorite Local Restaurant in Basel: PaSiWo

Let me recommend my favorite local restaurant in Basel, PaSiWo. It was recommended by a local colleague, and I fell in love with it after just one visit! I'm not sure if it's exactly an Italian restaurant—its name sounded like Thai cuisine at first, but it turns out the name is derived from the initials of the three owners. 🍽️ It's conveniently located not far from Basel's city center, and it's easy to get to by tram. The restaurant specializes in cordon bleu, and while the menu isn't overly extensive, I always struggle to choose between my two favorite dishes: the jumbo shrimp pasta and the Cordon Bleu Diavolo! The shrimp in the pasta are huge, grilled to perfection, and served with a garlicky pasta sauce—I absolutely adore it! 🍤🍝 The Cordon Bleu (I'm not sure how to translate it into Chinese, but maybe "cheese-stuffed meat roll"?) is their signature dish, and it comes with a variety of filling options. The portions are generous and substantial! My favorite is the Diavolo, which has a spicy cheese filling. It's so spicy it makes me sweat, which is considered "hellishly hot" by Swiss standards, but it tastes amazing. The cheese and chili are both generously portioned, making it perfect for those who love spicy food but can't find enough heat in Europe. 🌶️🧀 #RepeatVisitRestaurant #BaselLocalRestaurant #RestaurantRecommendation #SwissFoodBuddy #SwissFoodDesert
