📍505 Laurel St, San Diego, CA 92101 Last weekend, after strolling through Balboa Park, my friend and I dropped by this restaurant—it’s just next to the park, within walking distance, super convenient 💖. As soon as we entered, we were amazed! The ambiance is absolutely stunning —cozy lighting, vintage decor, and a stylish patio that completely sets the mood ✨. This is a Michelin-recommended restaurant, but it doesn’t feel intimidating at all. Instead, it’s as welcoming as a neighborhood kitchen 🍽️. We ordered the famous short rib pasta. The tender braised short ribs paired with a red wine sauce were incredibly satisfying with every bite 😋! My friend said it’s the best pasta she’s had in San Diego, and I’m already planning to come back just for this dish～ We also tried the meatball—firm and flavorful with a rich sauce 👌. However, the portion is quite generous, so it’s better to share with others to avoid feeling overwhelmed. Pairing it with a fresh salad balanced the taste perfectly 🥗. Overall, CUCINA urbana didn’t disappoint, from the ambiance to the food. It’s great for both dates and casual gatherings with friends 💕.
