My First Michelin-Recommended Malaysian Food Experience in LA 🧡

Lately I’ve been wanting to try more Southeast Asian cuisine, and I discovered this Malaysian restaurant ⭐️ Rasa Rumah! The restaurant’s cozy and inviting decor is totally my style — perfect for a date night 💑. They also have an extensive wine list, great for a chill drink and conversation 🥂✨ And the food? No disappointments here! 🍢 Skewer Sampler As a skewer lover, I really enjoyed this platter with three types of chicken skewers, pork neck skewers, and mushroom skewers. Served with mustard — a unique twist! Even my friend who usually avoids mushrooms ate several pieces. Definitely worth trying! 🐟 Crudo A raw fish appetizer with a tangy, slightly curry-like flavor — refreshing and light. A perfect starter! Highly recommend. 🌶️ Crispy Chili Wing Spicy fried chicken wings with a distinct Southeast Asian flavor (different from Korean style!). They weren’t mind-blowing, but the portion was generous! 🫓 Wagyu Beef Cheek Rendang I thought this would just be beef cheek, but it came with soft wraps, like Chinese-style pancakes, along with ranch sauce and sides. Unique and delicious! We also ordered Char Koay Kak (fried rice cakes) and Gulai Pana (fish curry) — both tasty, but by then we were pretty full, so my memory of them is a bit fuzzy 😅 For dessert, we tried both options — I personally loved the passionfruit pie 🍋. Sweet, tangy, and not heavy at all! Overall, such a great restaurant — no wonder it’s Michelin-recommended! 👏 #Foodie #LosAngelesEats #LAFood #LALife #RasaRumah #MichelinRecommended
