🍣 My First Omakase Experience – A Total Letdown 😞
🌸 Ambiance: The place was tiny — seats only about ten people. Given all the hype online, I was pretty surprised (and not in a good way). If you’re seated on the side, you can’t even see the chef preparing your sushi. Not the immersive experience I was hoping for. 🍣 Flavor & Food: The sushi rice was dark in color — not very appealing visually. As for taste… it was a mixed bag. Couldn’t tell what fish I was eating — asked the chef but couldn’t understand his mumbled reply 🎣 Most pieces were just okay — barely passing The “signature” foie gras snow ❄️ was underwhelming Uni hand roll was meh… and it came with a puff of dry ice for drama, but not much flavor The best bite? Honestly, I don’t even remember The hand roll was a mess — topped with a giant egg slice 🥚 I skipped that part entirely 😅 The Experience Took a Turn: After all that rich sushi and dessert, I was feeling heavy. I saw the chef cutting cucumber and asked for a piece — it was the most refreshing bite of the night 🥒 Then… the hand roll started leaking and stained my clothes. Seriously? 😤 To top it off, while pouring water, the server spilled it everywhere — a quick wipe, but water seeped under the table and dripped onto my pants. No proper apology, no offer to move me — just an awkward cleanup. Not the service you expect for a $300 per person meal. 📉 Final Take: Left with stained clothes, wet pants, a sticky throat, and a much lighter wallet 💸 Definitely not returning. #OmakaseFail #SushiDisappointment #OverpricedMeal #BeijingEats #FoodRegret #DiningFail
