My Heart’s in LA, But My Stomach’s in Chaoshan 😭
I’ve always wanted to visit Chaoshan — and now LA’s got a taste of it! Just tried this newly opened Chaoshan restaurant and felt instantly transported. 🦐 Signature Black Tiger Prawns Garlicky, aromatic, with perfectly springy prawns — a must-order! 🐚 Stir-Fried Clams with Basil Fresh, juicy clams wok-tossed with fragrant basil — so addictive we cleaned the plate in minutes. 🍖 Braised Trio Platter We chose pork knuckle, intestine, and belly (ear was sold out). Rich, savory, and traditionally spiced. 🍜 Three-Cut Beef Rice Noodles Tender snowflake beef, crunchy shank, and braised brisket in a light, sweet broth with silky rice noodles. 🍛 Olive Veggie & Minced Pork Fried Rice Perfectly wok-fried, each grain separate and fragrant — though the olive veggie is on the saltier side. 🦐 They also have raw marinated sweet shrimp (sold out this time — next visit for sure!). 📍 TAO KAY Restaurant 800 W Las Tunas Dr Ste 300, San Gabriel, CA 91776 #ChaoshanFood #LAEats #ChineseCuisine #NoodleLovers #LAFoodie #HiddenGems #FoodAdventure #LosAngeles #TrySomethingNew 🥢✨🍜🔥
