My Omakase Experience in Irvine, OC 🍣✨
Hey foodies! I recently visited Kuramoto in Irvine for an omakase dinner — and here’s my honest review! 🤔 Let’s start with the good: the chefs are all from Japan 🇯🇵 and super authentic. They cracked some classic dry Japanese jokes throughout the meal — which definitely added a fun cultural vibe! 😄 The decor is modern and clean, and the whole meal took about 1.5 hours — perfect for a relaxed yet sophisticated dinner outing. But now… the not-so-good 😬: The first sashimi combo had a noticeable fishy taste 🐟… and while the plating was beautiful 📸, the flavor didn’t quite meet expectations. Also, both the chawanmushi (steamed egg) and miso soup were overly salty — and what’s more, no one asked about food allergies or dietary restrictions beforehand. 😥 A little disappointing for an omakase experience. Oh, and random note: the flowers in the restaurant are fake. 🌸… but artificial? Really? In a place like this? Overall: Cute vibe, authentic chefs, but the taste and attention to detail fell a bit short. Maybe an off night? Would I go back? Not sure… but you might still want to try it and see for yourself! #Omakase #JapaneseCuisine #IrvineEats #IrvineFoodie #OCFood #IrvineLife #KuramotoIrvine #SushiReview #FoodCritic #Eatery #JapaneseGourmet #LuxuryDining #IrvineDateNight #LAFood #FoodAllergyAware #AuthenticJapanese #IrvineFoodScene #NotWhatIExpected #SoCalFood #OmakaseLover
