My Seattle Favorite Japanese Dining | Bamboo Sushi

I’ve written about Bamboo Sushi before, but I feel like I didn’t fully express my love for this place! As I’m about to leave Seattle, looking back, out of all the restaurants I’ve been to during my four years at UW, this is the only one I’d still want to keep visiting. Located in UV, it’s easy to park and you can even do some shopping while you’re at it. They revamped their menu last year, adding a lot of new items. I’ll share photos of the dishes I’ve tried. This time, I mainly want to share my must-order items. ❤️Top 1 Green Machine Roll A classic on their menu, this vegan roll is exceptional with its sauce. It has a subtle coriander flavor combined with a creamy aroma, not too heavy, and it converted someone like me who never eats coriander. Topped with avocado and filled with tempura asparagus, it’s a healthy and light choice. ❤️Top 2 Salmon Hosomaki Since the menu change last year, the quality of their sashimi has improved dramatically, especially the salmon which is always fresh. I always look forward to these fatty salmon rolls, and the price is quite nice too. ❤️Top 3 Flower Power You might be surprised to see a drink on the list, but this non-alcoholic beverage is a must-order for me every time. The tea base with yuzu syrup and butterfly pea flower water is both delicious and visually appealing! ❤️Top 4 Miso Glazed Black Cod This is a hot dish, and the fish is crispy even though it’s soaked in soup. The broth is a mix of salty miso and the sweet-tart flavor of orange, which I find very refreshing and a perfect match for the oily cod. ❤️Top 4 Grilled Octopus This dish can be tied with the previous one. The rich ingredients and sauce make it stand out. I forgot the exact flavors since it’s been a while, but I remember being impressed by the sauce. The only downside is that it’s a bit pricey. ❤️Top 5 The Unicorn Roll This roll isn’t in the pictures, but it’s featured in my previous post and is one of their established favorites. If you don’t want to order just one roll, consider this one – it’s pretty standard with a slightly spicy sauce. ❤️Top 6 Grilled Kama You can choose your fish for this dish. I’ve had Amberjack and King Salmon, and the one in the picture is probably salmon. This dish is basically a very oily part of the fish that’s been grilled, which is very fragrant but leaves a lot of oil in the plate. That’s about all I wanted to say. Hope to plant some seeds and pass on my experience to all of you! 😂 #SeattleFood #SeattleLife #EatingSeriously #ImmersiveJapaneseCuisine #UWSeattle
