n/soto โ So Delicious! ๐ฃโจ
Will definitely be back โ ended up having the whole restaurant to myself at 9 PM! ๐๐ฎ The recommended amberjack (kanpachi) was incredible โ thick, fresh, and super flavorful! ๐๐ซ Itโs a sister restaurant to n/naka ๐ง๐ณ๐ฉ๐ณ โ while n/naka focuses more on premium sashimi, n/soto is more casual but uses the same high-quality seafood. Great value for the quality! ๐๐ฐ The mushroom skewer ๐๐ซ was delicious at first โ garlicky, buttery, and juicy โ but got a bit heavy after a few bites. The beef tongue was decent, nothing extraordinary. ๐๐ฎ The scallop was amazing, as always โ my go-to safe choice! Never disappoints. ๐โค๏ธ The mixed mushroom donabe (clay pot rice) was so good! ๐๐ The sauce tasted similar to the shiitake mushroom skewer, so it felt a bit repetitive after having the skewers first. But the rice itself was perfectly cooked, and the pickled cucumber balanced the richness. I added a dash of soy sauce โ made it even more savory! This totally reminded me of that Crayon Shin-chan episode where he eats matsutake rice! ๐๏ธ๐ฒ๐ A cozy, stylish spot perfect for a relaxed yet refined meal! ๐๐ถ #Food #LosAngeles #DTLA #JapaneseCuisine #SushiLovers #Seafood #MushroomDish #ClayPotRice #CozyVibes #HiddenGem #FoodReview
