π―π Nanzenji Temple ππ―
Nanzenji is the head temple of the Rinzai sect's Nanzenji branch. In 1386, during the Zhide era, ππ― Ashikaga Yoshimitsu established the ranking of the top five mountains and ten temples in Kyoto and Kamakura, placing this temple at the top of the list, above all others. ππ ππ― Key points of interest within the temple include Tenjuan, the Sanmon gate, Nanzen-in, the HΕjΕ (abbot's quarters), and the Suirokaku (water route pavilion). ππ― Among these, the HΕjΕ is the most highly recommended! The garden design is full of artistic conception, and the winding corridors offer a changing perspective with every step, ππ― making it very interesting! Plus, it's much larger than the HΕjΕ at TΕfuku-ji. πΏπΆββοΈ #NanzenjiTemple πΈ#RinzaiTradition πΊ#HistoricTemple πΏ#GardenPerspectives π
