Nara's Todai-ji Temple(1)
One person, one bag, on a business trip to Osaka. π In the Kansai region, where denim culture is thick in the air, I paid a proper visit to a veteran Japanese factory that manufactures generators. I was there to propose the introduction of an ERP system for the coming year. π But somehow, as the conversation unraveled, we found ourselves talking about jeans, then sashiko embroidery, and eventually monk's robes. It turned out that Mr. Kono, the IT director of this 2,000 - person enterprise, also inherited a family - run temple business. π Naturally, he had a wealth of knowledge and insights about fabrics for various monastic occasions. The conversation flowed effortlessly from there to Nara and its temples. π When it was time to leave, I still felt like I hadn't had enough. So, on his recommendation, I took a weekend trip to the renowned Todai - ji Temple, a World Heritage site and one of the largest existing wooden structures in the world. πΏ π (Sometimes, even on a work trip, it's nice to take a little break and share something beyond denim.) #Nara#TodaijiTemple πΏ #WorldHeritage #WeekendEscape π€οΈ
