Nara Mount Wakakusa

Home to Deer🦌 and Sunsets🌅 When visiting Nara, you can head straight to Wakakusa-yama! The route is as follows: Nara Station ➡️ Take a bus to Nara Park ➡️ Walk past the Nigatsu-do ➡️ Arrive at Wakakusa-yama before 5:00 PM (you won't be able to enter the park if it's too late). The deer at Wakakusa-yama are much gentler than those in Nara Park. They are incredibly polite, always bowing and asking for food. Even if you break a deer cracker into eighths, they will gently take it. Unlike some deer in Nara Park, who once bit my stomach! I still remember that!
