Nara National MuseumπΈπ
π¦ Nara πΏ Nara National Museum: You must book tickets in advance / Photography is prohibited in the Shoso-in Exhibition π΅, but a few items in the Masterpieces Exhibition can be photographed, and the Chinese Bronze Hall allows free photography. πΈπ It just happens to be the annual Shoso-in Exhibition period. Tickets are not sold on-site; the reservation process is the most complicated among all museums, but it's not difficult. According to the channels provided on the official website, the most suitable option for overseas visitors is to register with Lawson Ticketing, select the visit date and time slot, and pay with a credit card (I used my CMB VISA). πΈπ You can choose to pick up the tickets at a Lawson convenience store. The Shoso-in Exhibition ticket also grants access to the Masterpieces Exhibition and the Bronze Hall. πΈπ It took me about three hours to visit all three exhibitions and buy some souvenirs. Todai-ji Museum: No reservation is required, and there are combo tickets for the temple and museum, but photography is prohibited π΅. πΈπ Kofuku-ji National Treasure Hall: No reservation is needed; you can buy tickets on-site, but photography is prohibited π΅. Toshodai-ji Autumn Special Exhibition: No reservation is required; you can buy tickets on-site, but photography is prohibited π΅. Kasuga Taisha Treasure Hall: No reservation is required; you can buy tickets on-site, but photography is prohibited π΅. #Nara ππ
