The absolute best museum to explore in DC, no competition! ๐Ÿ›๏ธโœจ The architectural design, integration with greenery, and exhibition layouts are all superb - I ended up spending over five hours without even noticing! โณ๐ŸŒฟ Came across an artist copying a masterpiece and learned that visitors can apply to copy certain artworks within guidelines. ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŽจ ๐Ÿ“ Viewing Tips: If entering from the north entrance, go up one floor to main floor then turn left for the special exhibition Paris 1874: The Impressionist Moment (running until January next year). ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท Try scheduling the gallery as your first stop of the day - arriving at 10am opening means only about 5 minutes wait for the popular Impressionist exhibit on weekdays. โฐ๐Ÿ‘Œ Recommend exploring the main floor first (mostly paintings) before going downstairs to ground floor (sculptures/furniture/photography). ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธโžก๏ธ๐Ÿ—ฟ Besides the special exhibit, don't miss galleries 80-93 featuring fantastic 19th century French paintings with many Impressionist works. ๐Ÿ“œ๐ŸŒŸ The current photography exhibits on ground floor are surprisingly interesting too! ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ’ก Note: About 3-4 sections on main floor are currently closed. ๐Ÿšง Still plenty to see though! If you have energy left, check out the East Building (modern art) where the rooftop offers half-view of Capitol Building. ๐ŸŒ†๐Ÿข #Travel #USA #Washington #Museum #ArtGallery #SoloMuseumTrip
