🌳 Nature Fun with Kids: Let’s Go Acorn Picking in the Mountains! 🌳

Mt. Baldy is truly a magical place! ❄️🌞 In the summer, you can splash in the creeks; in the fall, you can gather acorns; and in the winter, you can play in the snow! ❄️🥾 As long as you don’t mind the drive, the rewards are absolutely worth it! 🚗💨 Among all the seasons, acorn picking is definitely the most fun—after all, you never know what treasures you’ll find! 🍂🐿️ It’s such a thrill to “compete” with the squirrels for acorns—just a short walk from the trailhead, you’ll spot two giant oak trees surrounded by tiny acorn caps everywhere! 🧢🌰 It’s impossible to pick them all! Most of the acorn nuts are already gone (thanks to our furry friends 😄), so finding a whole one is a real treat! If you do find some caps, you can get creative at home—use a glue gun to piece them together and make cute crafts! 🎨✨ A gentle stream flows right beside the trail—the water is incredibly clear and shallow. You can easily cross it or simply enjoy wading along the banks. 💧👣 We didn’t hike too far this time because we hit the acorn jackpot pretty quickly! 🧺 By around 4 PM, we noticed many hikers heading back. On our way down, we stopped by the visitor center—it’s small but super interesting! ⛰️📚 Note to self: next time, come earlier—it closes at 2:15 PM! ⏰😅 Whether you’re exploring with little ones or just craving some quiet time in nature, Mt.
