Negombo, Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 | A Leisurely and Simple Fishing Village

Stepping out of Colombo Airport, I could immediately feel the air was moist, with a slight salty scent of the sea—it was very pleasant. 🐵 🐟Perhaps it was because the Middle East had been so dry before. I took a tuk-tuk from outside the airport to Negombo, and by the time I settled into the guesthouse, it was already 7 AM😊 Remembering there was a fish market in Negombo, I headed over right away.🥝 ❣️Even before reaching the fish market, a strong fishy smell hit me. On the beach by the sea, many women were drying fish; the dead fish were neatly arranged in rectangular rows. 🎉 Nearby, men were gutting fish on tables. When I took photos of them with my camera, they joked that I had to pay for taking pictures.🎇 🌈While I was looking at the fish, a man came over to introduce them to me and offered to show me around the market. Suddenly, I remembered some friends had shared that this was a trick to ask for tips, so I declined. Sure enough, he stretched out his hand and asked for a tip.🎁🎁 The fish market was small, and I finished it quickly. It was mainly about experiencing the local vibe. At the fruit stall, I saw yellow coconuts for the first time—about 3 RMB each, not very sweet. 🌪️Next to the fish market was a football field, where a group of girls were training.
