If you don't have trekking plans but still want to get a close-up view of the snow-capped mountains, you can choose between two great viewpoints. ✨Sarangkot Viewpoint - Pokhara 🩵There are various ways to reach Sarangkot; you can take a cable car, hire a car, or rent a motorbike. An admission fee is required to access the viewpoint, which I believe is around 20 NPR. 🩵The overall environment of the town is pleasant, and you can enjoy a complete view of Fishtail Peak and Annapurna, giving it a Swiss village feel. ✨Nagarkot 🩵Nagarkot offers a full view of the Himalayan range, and on clear days, you might even catch a glimpse of Mount Everest. It's relatively close to Kathmandu, with paved roads leading to the village, but the roads within the village can be rough. 🩵If you choose to hire a car, drivers typically increase the fare, considering the return trip without passengers. Taxis usually show a fare of around 1500 NPR, but drivers may add extra charges due to the empty return journey. My trip there cost 2500 NPR, and the return trip was 3000 NPR with the same driver, who spoke good English. 🌈If you're considering public transportation, you will need to transfer in Bhaktapur. For a day trip, it's recommended to hire a car.
