Nepal on a Budget: 15 Days for 3000 RMB – Where to Go in Kathmandu
⏳ *2-3 days is enough for pure sightseeing.* 📍Must-Visit Spots 1️⃣ 3 Durbar Squares Near Kathmandu Bhaktapur Durbar Square (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!) ~16km from Thamel (~1000 NPR by taxi). Less crowded, unique architecture, discounted ticket for Chinese (bring passport/photo). Must-try: Bhaktapur yogurt . Kathmandu Durbar Square (Meh) 10-15 min walk from Thamel. See the Living Goddess at 11 AM/4 PM. Pro tip: Sneak in via side alleys to avoid tickets. 2️⃣ Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) 🐒 Polite monkeys + panoramic city views! Let drivers drop you at the top to skip stairs. 3️⃣ Pashupatinath (Burning Ghats) 🔥 Witness Hindu cremation rituals. Free after 6 PM (night Aarti ceremony). Raw and profound—stay for 1+ hour. 4️⃣ Boudhanath Stupa Buddhist site, photo-worthy but 500 NPR ticket isn’t worth it. 5️⃣ Thamel Shopping 🛍️ Wool felt toys, postcards, thangkas, bracelets—but Bhaktapur has better deals! 6️⃣ Rock Climbing! 🧗♀️ Cheap and thrilling. Wild-climbing groups exist (RIP my manicure plans). 7️⃣ Kathmandu Disneyland 🎢 70-rpm Ferris wheel, pirate ship, 90° swing rides—~single-digit RMB per ride! #OffbeatTravel #QuitMyJobToTravel #HiddenGems #NepalOnABudget
