Never Went Hungry in Berlin—But It Wasn’t All Easy (Joke… Kinda)

Leaving Berlin now, and here’s the lowdown on my "budget survival" days: First, Berlin’s tap water tastes terrible—thank goodness supermarkets like Netto, Rewe, and Lidl sell 1.5L still water for just €0.29. Total lifesaver! 🚰 Supermarket prices here are actually pretty cheap, way lower than Vienna’s cost of living. Plus, you can find random corners in the city for temporary stays—if you’re willing to skip "luxuries," you can slash living costs to the absolute minimum. No clothes? Borrow what others don’t need. If you insist on "splurging," there’s Kik —a budget store for clothes and odds and ends. You can grab a T-shirt for under €3! 👕 Why do I sound so bitter? Because the expensive waterproof jacket I bought in the Czech Republic (after losing my bag) got stolen at a Berlin hostel… That’s the third time something’s been taken during this Europe trip. I’m truly speechless! 😤 Occasionally, you’ll run into "unusual NPCs" on the street—like the person with a weapon in (first time I’ve seen that!). But locals acted totally unfazed, just going about their day. is something I saw on the road—immediately made me wonder what would happen if this was painted in South Korea. 🤔 is a Too Good To Go (TGTG) food bag I got for €4—it fed me for over two days ? They’re the "hardships" I ate these past few days. #Berlin #Germany #BudgetTravel #LowCostTravel #Netto #Rewe #SaveMoney #ToughTimes #ForcedFrugality #GermanLife
