New Orleans, You’re Simply Delicious 🥲 I’ll Always Be Your Fan!
Who can resist the temptation of New Orleans’ food! From seafood to brunch, every bite is amazing. I’ve put together this "must-eat list"—foodies, just go for it~ 🍴 Must-Try Restaurant Reviews: No Bad Bites! 1. Deanie's Seafood|A Seafood Gem Recommended by Our Guide ✨ Must-Order: Barbecue Shrimp, Grilled Oysters The BBQ shrimp is absolutely fantastic! My friend and I were wide-eyed while eating it—each shrimp is coated in a rich sauce, so fresh it makes your taste buds dance. The grilled oysters are topped with cheese; one bite and you’ll be in heaven with the mix of creamy cheese and fresh seafood. ⚠️ Average: Crawfish It’s slightly underwhelming compared to the first two dishes. If it’s not in season, the texture and freshness will be a bit lacking—choose based on your preference~ 2. Luke|A Paradise for Oyster Lovers ✨ Must-Order: Raw Oysters, Fried Oysters We came specifically for the oysters, and they didn’t disappoint! The raw oysters are large, fresh, and non-fishy—one bite is satisfying. The fried oysters have a crispy outer layer and tender inside; both ways of eating are amazing~ 3. Ruby Slipper|A Worthy Brunch Spot ✨ Recommended: Shrimp Grits, Trifecta Benedict It’s a must-try local brunch, but if the line is extremely long, you can decide whether to wait~ The shrimp grits are creamy and flavorful, and the Trifecta Benedict lets you try three different flavors at once. A big shoutout to the staff—they’re super friendly 🫡 and even wrote us a list of their personal favorite restaurants. So thoughtful! 4. Zesty Creole|First Taste of Creole Flavor ✨ Recommended: Taste of Nola (Sampler Platter), Biscuit I still couldn’t tell the difference between Creole and Cajun by the end of the trip, but this sampler platter is perfect for "indecisive eaters"! You get to try Jambalaya, red beans and rice, and Gumbo all at once—it’s a bit salty overall, but pairing it with the biscuit balances it out. Their biscuits are soft and fragrant, even delicious on their own~ ❌ Avoid: Blackened Gator It’s so salty you can’t eat it—definitely don’t order this! 📝 A List of Missed Gems (Saved for the Next Trip!) 🥞 Brunch: Bearcat (try the famous Lobster Daddy), Brennan‘s (classic French-style brunch) 🦞 Seafood: Boil Seafood House, Big EZ, Cajun Seafood (crawfish recommended by a local aunt), Peche (creative seafood dishes) 🌶️ Cajun Flavor: Cochon Restaurant (a wide range of local specialties) 🍗 Fried Chicken: Gus‘s (legendary juicy fried chicken) 🥘 Creole Flavor: Coop‘s Place, Neyow‘s (authentic Creole home-style cooking) 💖 First Impression of New Orleans: Definitely Coming Back! I regret not coming here earlier—it’s been on my travel list for years, and now I’m completely in love! Every day, I wake up to explore small shops and try delicious food. The mysterious voodoo culture is so interesting, there’s a food shop every three steps, and in the evening, you can sit in a jazz bar. The pace is super chill, totally different from other American cities! Whether you love visiting museums, browsing small shops, or just eating and enjoying the scenery, you’ll be satisfied here. It’s definitely a place I want to visit again! #NewOrleansFood #NewOrleansTravel #food #FoodDiary
