🎺 New Orleans | 4-Day, 3-Night Relaxing Travel Guide

I visited NOLA right before Christmas — the music, drinks, and street performances were full of lively energy. Here’s my four-day itinerary: 🗓️ DAY 1 · Stroll Through the Old Town 📌 Royal St + LaBranche House (0.5–1h) ➡️ Jackson Square (0.5h) ➡️ Café Du Monde (0.5h|Café au Lait + Beignets) ➡️ Steamboat NATCHEZ (~2.5h) ➡️ The Sazerac House (0.5–1h) ➡️ Bourbon St (Night) ✨ Colonial architecture, street jazz, riverside sunset 🍸 Sazerac House offers free tours and 3 cocktail samples! 🌙 Bourbon Street is best at night — packed with restaurants, bars, and street performances. 🗓️ DAY 2 · Gators + WWII History 📌 Swamp Tour (~4.5h|includes pickup) ➡️ St. Charles Streetcar (through Garden District, <0.5h) ➡️ WWII Museum (recommend 3–5h) ➡️ Frenchmen Street (Night) 🐊 Morning boat tour to spot gators, pot-bellied pigs, and feed raccoons (winter temps mean fewer gators — we only saw a few small ones). 🚎 Streetcar ride past historic Garden District mansions — very relaxing. 🪖 WWII Museum is packed with content — allow plenty of time to explore. 🎷 Frenchmen Street feels more local than Bourbon — perfect for live jazz. 🗓️ DAY 3 · Oak Alley Plantation 📌 Recommend driving to Oak Alley Plantation (~5h) ➡️ Clesi’s for Crawfish 🌳 The oak tree alley is stunning — feels like Gone with the Wind. The Big House Tour covers the first plantation owner and enslaved people’s lives. 📸 Great for photos, and the garden has a light osmanthus scent — lovely for a walk. 🦞 Clesi’s crawfish was my favorite meal of the trip — highly recommended! 🗓️ DAY 4 · Lazy Wrap-Up 📌 Brunch at Bearcat CBD ➡️ Casual stroll around CBD ➡️ St. Charles Streetcar → Garden District ➡️ Airport 🍳 Bearcat’s Lobster Daddy is delicious — worth ordering. 🚋 One last streetcar ride to soak in the calm, elegant vibe of the Garden District. ✈️ Even caught a jazz band performance at the airport — a sweet way to make up for missing a live show earlier! #NewOrleans #NOLA #USTravelGuide #4Days3Nights #SoloTravel 🎷🍤🌳
