I started working at her shop as a reader. I am independent freelance and I work out of a couple shops in the area. At first everything was great. She was slightly passive aggressive but I could deal. Working there started to become very strenuous and I would sometimes go a couple weeks without a day to myself.

Over time she frequently made prejudice remarks about my heritage and spirituality. Referring to my beliefs stereotypes. However she would not hear of it. Until festivals she wanted me to dress voodooish like I'm a Disney character. This really upset me but I didn't say anything.

Over time she compared me to her special ed students. Me being a top 3% student I found this very demeaning and derogatory. She also would pry into my personal life and talk to others about me and would especially try to make me and another person there turn against each other.

All of this. I finally after not having any time off I got sick. I ended up having to leave due to a dizzy spell from a fever of 102. She basically was done with me then.

She also would take half of my tips and my pay percentage was getting smaller and smaller. Where once I would make over 300 for a certain amount of readings became 200. The stones are way overpriced. If you go up the street you'll get better deals. I'm not writing this to slander her. I just want her to know that we aren't machines we are humans with feelings and she's too old for high school mean girl tactics. Speaking of which she even demeaned my gender.

This was my spirit place in New Orleans! I went here 3 times with my friend becky from London, it is the most AMAZING shop, I wanted to buy everything in it! From the crystals to the jewellery to the art the most magical place in New Orleans. But what made it extra incredible was Angela the owner, who not only had the most in-depth knowledge of everything in the shop & reccomendations on any type of stone or crystal you could want, but also had the most beautiful, friendly, welcoming energy which resonated throughout the entire shop. Angela is the Absolute Best! Stopped in at this store during a mini vacation with my bf. He found a ring he really liked but didn't buy it and I knew how much he really wanted it. After getting back to Houston I reached out on IG and was able to purchase it over the phone. She responded very quickly, put the ring on hold and had it shipped in a gift box for me, providing me with the receipt & shipping details as well. I'm so very thankful for her genuine kindness & quick responses. I definitely recommend this store to everyone on your trip to New Orleans.
