New Orleans → Baton Rouge: 2-Day Trip Highlights ✅

🍗 Itinerary Day 1 – New Orleans WWII Museum 🏛️: Spent 5 hours here — it’s huge and totally worth it! French Quarter 🎭: Full of quirky gift shops 🎁, charming bars, and live jazz — though I missed the outdoor performances due to rain 💔. St. Louis Cathedral ⛪: A must-see landmark! Day 2 – New Orleans → Baton Rouge Cajun Encounters Tour 🐊: A 2-hour swamp adventure! Saw gators, owls, raccoons, snakes, wild boars… so cool! ⚠️ Don’t be late — the boat won’t wait! We had to reschedule 😅 Drove to Baton Rouge 🚗 Explored LSU 🐯 and visited The Queen Casino 🎰 Watched the Mississippi River sunset 🌅 — absolutely breathtaking! 🍗 Accommodation New Orleans: Airbnb near French Quarter (~15 min drive) Baton Rouge: Stayed at Cook Hotel at LSU 🏨 🍗 Food Highlights Bearcat CBD ☕: Rose Water Latte — floral and sweet (maybe a bit too sweet for some) Luke 🦪: HUGE, fresh, sweet Gulf oysters — no fishy taste! Happy hour: 1 dozen for $15. (Skip the fried oysters though 😬) Café du Monde 🍩: Famous for beignets — think sugar-drenched French-style donuts. So good! CRAWFISH at Sammy’s Grill Highland 🦞: UNREAL DEAL! cheaper than Changsha!! 🎉 5 lbs + tax/tip ≈ $20 per person. Clean, well-cooked, perfectly spiced — not too hot.
