New Orleans ⚜️ 4 Days & 3 Nights Travel Guide
Feeling a bit bored after the holidays, so I decided on a spontaneous trip to NOLA for a few days! The weather here is much friendlier than the East Coast — just a light jacket needed for mornings and afternoons 🌤️. ⚜️ Day 1: WWII Museum + French Quarter Dropped luggage at the hotel, rested a bit, then headed to the WWII Museum. Highly meaningful for history lovers — spent over an hour exploring the spacious exhibits. Dinner near the French Quarter at Peche 🍽️. Their oysters were plump and fresh 🦪, and the signature grilled fish was tender with few small bones (perfect for those who struggle with fish bones!). Definitely a great choice 😄. ⚜️ Day 2: Swamp Tour Breakfast at Ruby Slipper — tried their famous omelet, so tasty! You can even add rum to your cappuccino here ☕️… starting the day with a drink, very NOLA-style 😂. Joined a Swamp Tour half-day trip — super convenient with included pickup/drop-off. The driver shared fun facts about NOLA along the way. Met baby alligators, turtles, cats, and birds 🐊🐢🐈⬛🦜! Dinner was my #1 favorite 🏆: Herbsaint. Their runny egg pasta was so good I almost ordered another plate 😋. The duck leg was tender with crispy skin, and dessert was homemade yogurt-like cheese with red wine-poached pear. ⚜️ Day 3: Oak Alley Plantation A historic site from the Civil War era — the classic French-style plantation is incredibly photogenic 🤳. Every corner feels like a postcard! Dinner at Cochon, recommended by locals. Unique flavors I’ve never tasted on the East Coast! Loved their roasted oysters and fried alligator 🐊. Must-try: their signature pork dish (tasted like gourmet pork jerky 😂). After dinner, caught a basketball game 🏀 — spotted ourselves in the highlight reel when LeBron dunked! Kept seeing ourselves in the background on Instagram for days… guess that counts as a too 😜. ⚜️ Day 4: Reluctantly headed home… will definitely be back! #StudyAbroadTravel #StudyInUSA #NewOrleans #TravelGuide 🎷🍛🌳
