New Orleans 4-Day 3-Night | French Quarter Itinerary 🗺️
Quick Overview: Arrive in NOLA → Drop bags → Lunch at Luke → Royal St stroll & photos → Jackson Square + Café Du Monde → French Market → Hot N Cajun dinner → Bourbon Street → Mahogany Jazz Hall 🎷 🏨 Stay: Recommended areas: Downtown / French Quarter — walking or a short ride to all the action! 🍽️ Lunch: Luke (Highly Recommend! 🦪) Weekday Lunch Express Menu available Daily 3–6pm Happy Hour (but friends say oysters are bigger at lunch!) Must-orders: Gulf Oysters ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The largest we’ve ever seen — palm-sized, super fresh, bursting with ocean flavor. Jumbo LA Shrimp & Grits ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Savory grits + juicy shrimp — a delicious surprise! They’ll even split it for sharing. Seafood Gumbo ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Southern must-try, but very salty — tasted like “soy sauce soup over rice.” We added crawfish, but still just okay. 🚶 French Quarter Walking & Photo Route Royal St.: Antique shops & iconic iron balconies — so photogenic! LaBranche House: The classic French Quarter wrought-iron balcony St. Peter St. → Jackson Square (with St. Louis Cathedral) Café Du Monde: Iced latte + beignets 🍩💵 Cash only! Decatur St. → French Market: Handmade crafts & souvenirs (skip if short on time) 🦞 Dinner: Hot N Cajun — Seafood Boil 🦐 A giant bag of juicy seafood dumped right on the table! 🔥 Add sausage — it soaks up all the flavors and is a game-changer! 🌈 Bourbon Street at Night Neon lights, cocktails, and music everywhere! ⚠️ Lots of drunk pedestrians and some unhoused people — stay in groups and be aware. 🎷 Mahogany Jazz Hall (A Must for Jazz Lovers!) You can’t visit NOLA without live jazz! We loved this spot — order a drink and enjoy the music all night. 📅 Schedules posted outside | 💵 Bring cash for tips! #NewOrleans #NOLA #NOLAFood #NOLATravel #FrenchQuarter #JazzCity #TravelGuide
