New Orleans Food Diary – Tableau! 🍽️✨

📍616 St Peter, New Orleans, LA 70116 Tableau is a pretty fancy spot with three dollar signs 💰💰💰, nestled right in the heart of the French Quarter. The restaurant has two floors and multiple dining rooms, set inside a beautiful French-style building that feels like an elegant family home. 🏠💫 We ordered one appetizer and two main dishes, but honestly—we still felt hungry afterward! 😅 So we added a cheeseburger and dessert to round things out. 👀 🦀 Appetizer: Truffled Crab Claw This local specialty features chilled crab claws infused with black truffle. So fresh and flavorful! Served with small slices of bread, which were perfect for soaking up every bit of that deliciousness. 🦀🍞 🐟 Main Dish #1: Sautéed Gulf Fish Tender grilled fish topped with crushed nuts—simple, delicate, and beautifully cooked. 🍤 Main Dish #2: BBQ Shrimp & Grits The biggest surprise of the meal! Creamy grits served as the base, topped with grilled shrimp, flavorful sausage, and a rich garlic sauce. If you love savory porridge-style dishes, you can’t miss this one! The only downside? The portion was a bit small. 😢 🍔 Cheeseburger We added this to finally feel full—classic, satisfying, and delicious! 😋 🍬 Dessert: Crème Brûlée A thin layer of caramelized sugar over smooth, sweet cream custard. It was delicious but seriously sweet—I could only manage a few bites before feeling sugared out! 🍮 Overall, the food at Tableau is outstanding and the atmosphere is charming and unique. But be warned—portions tend to be on the smaller side, so you might need to order a heartier dish if you’re hungry! 🥲 Have you been to Tableau? What did you think of their portions? Or do you have a favorite French Quarter restaurant? Share below! 👇🎭 #NewOrleans #NewOrleansFood #FrenchQuarter #FineDining #FoodReview #CajunCuisine #TravelEats
