New Orleans Hotspot Restaurant: Trenasse

If you're driving, you can park in a public lot near the French Quarter 🅿️ and walk about 10–15 minutes to the restaurant. Or, park at the InterContinental New Orleans — Trenasse is located inside the hotel. 🍽️ Recommended Dishes ✅ ✨ Taste of Trenasse — Our favorite! A sampler platter featuring the popular crawfish pie 🥧. If you order this, you don’t need to get the pie separately. ✨ Fresh Fish of the Day — We had trout 🐟 — tender, fragrant, no fishy taste. Served with crispy potato bits and fresh veggies. (This is on the dinner specials menu and changes often.) ✨ Stinky’s Stew — A staff-recommended signature: a hearty mix of seafood (fish, shrimp, mussels, snow crab) in a slightly spicy, tomato-based broth 🍅🌶️. Would be even better with rice or pasta! ✨ Fried Pork Rinds — Complimentary from the kitchen! Crispy and savory 😋. 🚫 Not Recommended ❎ 🥘 Gumbo — Not bad, but way too salty even by NOLA standards. Plenty of tastier gumbos elsewhere. 🦀 Crab Cream Soup — Similar to New England clam chowder but not as good. Skip it. 🥢 Appetizers — Nothing mind-blowing but decent. We tried Buffalo Frog Legs (like Buffalo wings but with fried frog legs 🐸) and Duck & Waffles — the duck was okay, but the waffles were yummy! 🦪 Grilled Oysters — Offered in several flavors (we tried three, 6 oysters each). The garlic butter was fine, but other NOLA spots do grilled oysters better. 🏆 Overall, Trenasse offers creative Cajun-inspired cuisine — the chef puts a modern spin on classic flavors. They’ve won awards three years running! Main dishes are solid; the rest are worth a try if you’re feeling adventurous. #HotspotRestaurant #USFoodie #NewOrleansEats #CajunCuisine #FoodReview #HiddenGem #AwardWinningDining 🍴✨
