New York's one-Michelin-star Omakase restaurant--Tempura Matsui
π tea bowl steamed eggs. featuring delicious foie gras paired with a generous portion of crab meat and matsutake mushrooms. The smooth and rich textures follow one after another, and the fragrant, hot steamed egg with sweet seafood is incredibly exciting for the upcoming culinary journey. π The peony shrimp head and peony shrimp They are both fragrant and crispy, with every shrimp whisker perfectly intact. The shrimp meat itself is tender, chewy, and the batter is light and soft, never heavy enough to affect the refreshing taste of the meat itself. π The shiso cod has truly surprised me! The cod is tender and juicy, complemented by the aromatic shiso leaves. The waiter suggested that we only need lemon juice for a refreshing taste, and it was indeed true! π The fried abalone It is carefully placed in the abalone shell, with three slices of abalone accompanied by a fresh abalone liver. The abalone itself is bouncy and delicious, with the moisture perfectly retained, but I'm not particularly fond of the liver, as it tastes a bit fishy to me. π seafood tea-soaked rice. where the smooth and tender seafood is paired with a rich sauce, and when combined with rice, it brings a full sense of happiness with each bite. The entire set includes 13 types of tempura, which is definitely enough to satisfy your appetite, leaving you incredibly full. π€€ πTempura Matsui π222 E 39th St, New York, NY 10016 #Tempura Matsui#New York#Michelin# food diary#Omakase
