New Zealand Travel Diary D12 | Dunedin → Auckland, Trip Finale ✨

Leaving the South Island means this New Zealand trip is coming to an end. Spent the last day rushing around and relaxing, documenting all the details below👇! 1️⃣ Checked out of the Dunedin homestay at 9:30 AM, drove to Dunedin Airport to return the rental car (smooth process with no issues)~ Took Jetstar Airways at 11:50 AM to Auckland. Important reminder: Staff will weigh every carry-on bag at the gate, strictly enforcing the 7kg limit — super strict 📦! Recommend sorting out your luggage in advance to avoid last-minute hassle~ 2️⃣ For those taking domestic flights to Auckland and wanting to take SkyDrive to the city: The pick-up point is P1, right-hand side when exiting Gate 5 ❗️ We searched for ages and almost got lost. It’s $28 for two people, pay by Visa before boarding, and it takes about 45 minutes to reach Sky Tower directly — great value and convenience 🚗~ 3️⃣ Booked Holiday Inn Express on Ctrip: 1600 RMB for two nights including breakfast, equivalent to domestic budget hotel standards — clean, tidy and worry-free~ The pleasant surprise is that the room has a sea view 🌊, opening the window to a wide horizon, instantly relieving fatigue! 4️⃣ Wandered around Queen Street in the afternoon, visited several souvenir shops. Prices for small items like fridge magnets and postcards are similar to Queenstown, but the average price of wool sweaters is slightly higher. Those who want to buy can compare before purchasing~ The street is bustling with people, feeling the lively atmosphere of Auckland city center — every random shot is a life-style photo 📸~ 5️⃣ Visited Countdown Pharmacy (CW) and bought UMF 13 honey: 250g for $38.5. Reliable quality, perfect for personal use or as a gift — after all, New Zealand honey is a must-buy souvenir 🍯~ 6️⃣ Dinner at OBAR Korean Restaurant: $65 for two people~ The army stew is refreshing and not greasy with abundant ingredients; the fried chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, but a bit greasy if you eat too much — overall highly recommended 👍~ Finished the meal with satisfaction, drawing a perfect end to this trip~ #NewZealandTravel #TravelDiary #Dunedin #Auckland #NewZealandDomesticFlights #QueenStreet #SouvenirGuide #AucklandKoreanFood #TripFinale #NewZealandTransportation
