Newport|Marble House: Gilded Age Aristocratic Life
Today, I visited Newport’s Marble House—one of the famous Vanderbilt family mansions, and easily the most dreamy American “palace” in my book 🏛️. The entire mansion is nearly built with marble, and even the dining room ceiling is so luxurious it takes your breath away. Stepping inside feels like stepping back into the 19th-century Gilded Age—every room is glittering with gold and intricate details, perfectly fulfilling all my fantasies of European palace-style elegance ✨! 💡 Tips for Your Visit: 📷 Best Photo Spots: The marble colonnade at the main entrance and the golden ballroom are unbeatable for photos—they’re absolutely stunning. ☕️ Chinese-Style Tea House: There’s a charming Chinese-inspired tea house in the backyard—it’s super photogenic too! 🎧 Audio Tour: An audio guide is included with entry. Listening to the stories behind the mansion makes the visit much more immersive. 🎟️ Tickets: $25 per person. You can buy them online in advance or at the on-site ticket office. 🕰️ Recommended Time: Plan to spend 1–1.5 hours exploring slowly—there’s so much detail to take in! 📍 Address: 596 Bellevue Ave, Newport, RI 02840 If you love Downton Abbey or The Great Gatsby, Marble House will definitely be right up your alley 💛. #MarbleHouse #NewportAttractions #AmericanPalace #AristocraticLifeExperience #OffTheBeatenPathTravel #GildedAge #ScenicPhotoSpot
