Niagara-on-the-Lake Travel Guide: Parking & Shopping and Dining Tips

Niagara-on-the-Lake has been rated as one of the "Seven Fairy-tale Towns in the World" and "Canada's Most Beautiful Town". 🌳🌳 πŸ‘πŸ‘The neighborhood is home to old Victorian-style buildings, dotted with flowers everywhere, and you can also take a carriage ride through the town, as if entering a fairy-tale world. It's a 30-minute drive from the Niagara Falls to the lakeside town.🍭 πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ Along the way, you can see many beautiful houses and orchards/wineries of all sizes, which is super healing. Parking in the town is convenient. There is on-street parking (metered) on both sides of the main street. You can directly navigate to Prince Of Wales Hotel and then find a parking spot on the main street. I parked at Niagara on the Lake Public Parking, which costs about $5 per hour and is free after 8 pm. Next to it is the Niagara River, where you can overlook Old Fort Niagara, and it's a few minutes' walk to the main street.🚌 πŸ“ The most iconic building in the town is Prince Of Wales Hotel, built in 1864 and named after the stay of the Prince of Wales of Britain in 1901. πŸ‘‘ The entire hotel is surrounded by flowers, making it a perfect spot for taking photos. [Right Arrow] Tips: The entrance seen at the crossroads is not the main entrance; going in leads to the restaurant, and it's not appropriate to enter without dining.😘😘 🐾🐾Walk about ten meters to the left facing the main entrance to find the hotel's main entrance , where you can go in to take photos. The interior of the hotel retains the decorative style of the Victorian era, which is worth a look. Almost all shops are on the other side of Prince Of Wales Hotel, concentrated in 3 blocks of Queen Street.🌷🌷 πŸ“ Greaves Jams & Marmalades, a family-owned jam shop founded in 1927 with a history of nearly 100 years. Its special feature is that in addition to various fruit-flavored jams, there are also unique ones like ice wine flavor and red wine flavor.πŸ₯©πŸ₯© There are different sizes and gift sets, suitable as souvenirs. Besides this one, we also saw other shops selling jams, marked as local specialties, which reminded us of the orchards and wineries we passed by. πŸ‡πŸ· πŸ“ BeauChapeau Hat Shop 🎩 It has a variety of hats, from British-style gentleman hats to exaggerated ladies' hats, and a nostalgic hat-making studio. 🐠🐠 It's worth a visit even if you don't buy anything.πŸ‘€ πŸ“ COWS Ice Cream Shop 🍦 Founded in 1983 on Prince Edward Island, it can only be found in 6 cities. I've had their ice cream in Banff and Quebec, and it's really delicious. 🍒🍣 They also sell many cute products. πŸ“ Niagara Home Bakery πŸ₯§ A handmade bakery. I heard that Butter tart is a Canadian specialty, so I bought some to try. It's too sweet, and I personally don't think it's tasty. πŸ“ Turkish Bazar πŸ’‘ A very unique lamp shop with Aladdin lamps, fancy chandeliers, and a dazzling array of items. πŸ“ The Starbucks here sells 2 types of city mugs: Niagara-On-The-Lake and Niagara Falls. #Canada#NiagaraFalls
