I've ordered from Canada Flowers a few times in the past with great experiences. Arrangements always arrived on time and curated beautifully. Until recently when I ordered a $133 bouquet called "Ocean Whisper", and paid an extra $12 - $14 for a more "fuller" arrangement. Unfortunately, the recipient wasn't home to receive it and it was delivered to the next door neighbour without my knowledge, and was there for 3 days until the recipient returned home. I received no confirmation of delivery. Once I finally got to see the arrangement, I was embarrassed to know this is what the recipient received as sympathy condolences. It looked as though it was prepared by a child. Not only was the quality of the arrangement sub-par but what exactly did I pay an extra fee for when this "fuller arrangement" just involved tossing in a few extra green stem fillers. Not at all worth $133. Of course I called to discuss the poor quality of the arrangement and had email exchanges with customer support Andrew and Amanda. I was informed that a formal investigation would be conducted. 24 hours later I received an email response that their "investigation" concluded that the quality of what was ordered was acceptable and offered a 15% discount off my next order. I did not feel this was fair considering the circumstances. At this point I wouldn't feel confident continuing business with them after this negative experience. I replied via email that this was not an acceptable outcome and asked for a call back by a manager to further discuss how we could rectify this situation. Instead of honoring my request for a phone call I was notified by email saying they discussed this with their "affiliate" and it was still confirmed that the "correct value" was delivered. I replied again that I would like a call back to understand more about the investigation outcome. Again, another email followed with the same response now including that a 15% refund was applied back to my original payment method. I decided since they wouldn't call me to further discuss I would call them directly to speak with a manager. To my surprise the customer service agent Amanda I have been communicating with is the "manager". I was informed that Canada Flowers is affiliated with several florists. I explained to Amanda that it was unacceptable to swap out a customer's chosen bouquet for any random assortment of flowers they wish without my approval or consent. This was very poor customer service and to actually try to convince a customer that the arrangements from the website and what was delivered looked similar is an insult to someone's intelligence. Poor quality arrangement and horrible customer service by Amanda. Would a 30 - 50% refund really hurt your business? Very unfortunate that pride was more important than keeping a customer happy. I will no longer being ordering flowers for myself or be using their service at the company where I work. Seeing this company uses many affiliates to arrange and deliver flowers it's very important to make certain your affiliates are ensuring your brand is represented with the highest quality product. Please work on providing better customer service.

If it were possible to provide them with a 0/5 star I would do so. There were so many issues I experience while dealing with Canada Flowers I don't even know where to begin:

I originally ordered "Dance with Me" for my Grandmother's 80th Birthday (see screenshot of the arrangement as advertised on their website). The original arrangement delivered to my grandmother did not arrive alive. My grandmother is 80 so she does not own a digital camera, cell phone with a camera or laptop. Canada Flowers refused to refund me because their Local Affiliate needed to see a picture of the dead arrangement in order to conduct an investigation. After much too much back and forth, my only recourse was to accept a replacement arrangement.

The process of arranging a replacement arrangement was extremely tedious. They demanded the old arrangement be return which is fine however we are in a global pandemic and I had to coordinate with a senior citizen via telephone. I asked that the Affiliate Florist provide me with a photo of the replacement arrangement prior to them delivering it to ensure they actually are fulfilling their obligation as advertised. That was refused by Canada flowers because they said "its not their policy". So they have no issue demanding photos from their customers but they cannot meet the same level of expectations as the service provider.

The replacement arrangement was delivered (outside of the agreed upon delivery window) and it was still incorrect. Roses were substituted for commercial mums and daisies. The overall size of the arrangement was significantly smaller than what was advertised. I was able to obtain a photo of the replacement arrangement which I provided to Canada Flowers (see attached) and Canada Flowers attested that I got what I paid for. I told them this could "possibly" be a suitable replacement for the standard version of the arrangement but I can purchased and paid for the PREMIUM version and this arrangement was definitely not a premium arrangement. My estimate was that I received approximately $30 worth of flowers but I paid $94.

Canada Flowers offer an insufficient credit of 15% of what I paid plus a 15% coupon code for a future purchase (which I will NEVER use). I tried to reason with them via email and negotiate a middle ground between their offer of 15% and a full refund and they have outright refused. To me this indicates a pattern of poor service and quality otherwise any quality florist would have refunded my money.

Please refer to the Better Business Bureau for accurate reviews from other customers who also experienced what I have experienced.

I understand some substitutions need to be made as a result of COVID however, today I purchased an arrangement from an excellent local florist who assured me there are plenty of roses in the marketplace and they would NEVER substitute mums or daisies for roses as they are not of comparable value. This is an example of fraud due to false advertising.

My last note if after all this you still decide to try your luck with Canada Flowers -...

Terrible First Experience – Extremely Disappointing and a waste of money.

This was my first time ordering from Canada Flowers and it was by far one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I’ve ever had.

I placed my order on May 8, 2025, for delivery on May 10, 2025. At checkout, I was given the option to select May 10 as the delivery date, and the site mentioned a 3-day delivery window between May 9–11. In the delivery notes, I clearly stated that I needed the flowers by Saturday before noon as I had to go to the hospital at 1 PM. I also noted that if this couldn’t be done, the order should be cancelled.

The next morning, I didn’t hear back from anybody so I followed up with an email again and called their toll-free number to see if I could just pick the flowers up myself.

The representative told me they couldn’t help directly and could only send an email to the florist. (And said that they would get back to me) They wouldn’t even provide me with the florist’s address, saying they “can’t disclose that information.” I waited and waited and waited. Still, nobody has contacted me.

Saturday came – still no updates, no call, and no flowers. By the afternoon, I was forced to call again around 4 PM, asking if the flowers were even in transit. I was told I’d get a call back. Ten minutes later, I finally heard from the florist, who said, “I never heard back from you and was waiting for you to come pick up the flowers.”

I was shocked – how was I supposed to pick them up when Canada Flowers refused to tell me the address or even confirm pickup was an option? The florist agreed it was strange, as they had already confirmed with Canada Flowers that I could do a pickup. The lack of communication caused the entire delay.

These flowers were meant for someone who had just undergone surgery – I needed them Saturday. Instead, they arrived Sunday afternoon, when they were no longer needed. To top it all off, the flowers I received looked nothing like the photo I ordered from. The roses were wilted and had brown edges. Just awful.

This entire experience was unprofessional and disorganized. For $100, I expected so much better. Never ordering...
