NIAGARAONTHELAKE Food Guide - Treadwell Cuisine
We originally planned to try Treadwell Cuisine’s breakfast, but let’s be real—sleep won out 😴, and we only made it in time for lunch. No regrets though, because this spot still delivered big on flavor! First up, their signature Creamy Mussels 🍽️. Wow. These were next-level good—plump, briny mussels swimming in a rich, velvety broth that tasted like it had been simmered with love (and maybe a splash of white wine?). We sopped up every last drop with the warm bread on the side—literally scraped the bowl clean. No shame here; it was that good. Then there was the Lobster Sandwich 🦞. Sadly, it was just okay. The lobster meat was generous, but like a lot of seafood dishes in Canadian restaurants, it felt a little overcooked—slightly rubbery instead of tender. Not bad by any means, but definitely overshadowed by those mussels. Pro tip for parents: The kids’ menu isn’t listed on the regular menu 📝, so you’ll need to ask your server for it. Handy to know if you’re dining with little ones! Fair warning: The place gets packed at noon 🏃♂️💨. We didn’t have a reservation and ended up waiting a bit for a table—definitely book ahead if you can. Once we ordered, food took about 20 minutes to arrive, but honestly, the mussels were worth the wait. Our biggest regret? Not saving room for the Fish & Chips 🐟. We saw a plate go to the table next to us, and whoa—that fried fish looked like it was practically a whole fish, crispy golden batter and all, served with a mountain of fries. Three of us were already stuffed, so we had to pass, but it’s top of my list for next time! All in all, even with a so-so sandwich, Treadwell earned its spot as a Niagara-on-the-Lake standout. Can’t wait to come back—maybe this time we’ll drag ourselves out of bed for breakfast! #SelfGrowth #FoodieDiary #SeafoodLovers #NiagaraFallsRestaurants #CanadaTravel #TorontoGetaways
