Let's plan a trip to see the red leaves!๐๐ Shin-kyo Bridge๐๐ Visiting Time: 15 minutes ๐๐Introduction: A vermillion wooden bridge over the Otawa River, it's the only way to get to Toshogu Shrine and is one of Japan's three strange bridges, considered a sacred symbol. The "Three Wise Monkeys" and the "Sleeping Cat" carvings are the treasures of this shrine.๐๐ ๐๐Second Irohazaka Mountain Road๐๐ Visiting Time: 45 minutes (viewed from the car) ๐๐Introduction: A winding mountain road connecting Nikko City and Lake Chuzenji, with 48 turns, it's a filming location for Initial D. In autumn, you can enjoy the beautiful red leaves along the way. If you have a two-day itinerary, you can stop at the Akechidai Observatory to overlook the Kegon Falls.๐๐ ๐๐Lake Chuzenji Visiting Time: 30 minutes๐๐ ๐๐Introduction: A high-altitude lake at about 1269 meters, formed by a volcanic eruption 15,000 years ago. The lake water is clear, surrounded by magnificent natural scenery, especially famous for its autumn red leaves.๐๐ ๐๐Chuzenji Temple ๐๐Visiting Time: 45 minutes๐๐ ๐๐Introduction: Located by Lake Chuzenji, founded in 784 AD, it is a branch temple of Nikko's Rinno-ji, known for enshrining a 6-meter-high Thousand-Armed Kannon statue. ๐๐Kegon Falls Visiting Time: 30 minutes ๐๐Introduction: One of Japan's three famous waterfalls, located next to Lake Chuzenji in Nikko City, it plummets vertically from a cliff about 97 meters high, with a majestic presence. The waterfall has different scenery in each season, especially the autumn red leaves and winter ice waterfalls are breathtaking.๐๐ ๐๐Personal Food Recommendations by Coke Biscuit๐๐ ๐๐Most shops are on the street from JR Nikko Station to Shin-kyo Bridge, so you can eat and drink while walking and shopping.๐๐ ๐๐If you plan to visit Nikko, it's recommended to split it into two days, so you won't be too rushed and can save about 3 hours of travel time. ๐๐ ๐๐The extra time can be used to experience the Akechidai cable car and the Chuzenji Lake cruise. Another day can be spent on the Kinugawa route, where you can also see the red leaves of the first Irohazaka Mountain Road.
